Edward Ncube. Known professionally as Pudi Montana and previously known as Black Dot is a South African author,philosopher, rapper, vocalist, musician and record producer from Tigane-Hartbeesfontein-North West Province.
Montana first gained significant attention after the release of his first full length mixtape:Ghetto Centric Antique 1, which was made available on a an AudioMack page in 2014. It is was a 22 track project with original beats with guest appearances from independent vocalists and rappers from South Africa and the United States Of America.
In late 2013 he released a singles,produced by his then producer Master Mixao titled "Junkie Like Me", the latter of which got him a record Deal with South Carolina based Independent label Rott Wildin, which he later left after a feud with the label for not giving deserved credit for a mix tape he initially produced and engineered. In April 2018, he announced being signed to 2Glocks Inc, an independent company he co founded with his manager Daniel Santos Acorn from Manchester, New Hampshire USA, which saw the independent release of his first official Ep titled True Love Stories on the 26th of April 2018, that was produced by German based producer Marlon Bando, Master Mixao and Pudi Montana who also handled the engineering of the whole project. Edward was born on May 2, 1991, in the township of Itsoseng,but grew up in a Village known as Setlopo saga Bosigo in Mahikeng a city renowned for it's active hip hop culture. Edward began rapping as early as 2001 after inspired by his Uncle. By the age of 17 Pudi Montana dropped out of school in 9th grade left Mahikeng to pursue his musical career.
Living a mostly nomadiclifestyle , he found refuge in cities such as Pretoria, and briefly in Johannesburg. From club to club, and stage to stage, rap battles Pudi had been booed off and denied because of his African American like accent and slang, local cats stressing that he wasn't original "In my earlier years from when I first left home,I was young highly ambitious and ignorant of the world outside in the inner city circles I was kinda lost blindly following a dream that wasn't matured, which had me homeless for a whole year before returning home and later Moving to Tigane," Edward stated. "But all that was just necessary because those experiences hammered me into shape.
Pudi's career really took off when he moved to Tigane and made a name for himself around the city of Matlosane and abroad through the internet,Pudi met producer/engineer Master Mixao , now a regular collaborator, who introduced him to production and song Arrangement,It is here that he recorded his first Mixtape(GCA 1) music with several Mixao beats beats, meeting the producer subsequently asking to record his songs. Pudi went on to release his second official Ep Titled I Am not here ,which is available on iTunes, Spotify,Amazon Mp3 and other Online music stores.20 December 2018 Montana Announced that he had joined On of UK's fastest growing Labels Glory Gang records which will over see the release of his upcoming projects.
